Vertigo Sea – John Akomfrah

Fundació Antoni Tàpies

John Akomfrah’s films are characterized by the use of metaphors and metonymies to pose the problems arising from human action.

The publication Vertigo Sea, of which we had the pleasure of printing, focuses its attention on two of Akomfrah’s works exhibited at the Fundació Antoni Tàpies that share water as a central element to address issues such as colonial conquests, the transatlantic slave trade, or contemporary migratory flows.

A production challenge due to the difficulty of confrontation equivalence of PANTONE and CMYK on the different printing substrates used.
